This visa allows you to enter the UAE multiple times for tourism over a five-year period, without the need for a local sponsor.

1. Key Features & Benefits

  • Validity: 5 years from the date of issue.
  • Entries: Multiple (unlimited) entries during the five-year validity.
  • Maximum Stay per Visit: You can stay for a maximum of 90 consecutive days per visit.
  • Maximum Total Stay: You cannot stay in the UAE for more than 180 days in a single year (unless you apply for an extension, which is possible once for an additional 90 days, subject to approval).
  • Sponsor: No local sponsor in the UAE is required (self-sponsored).
  • Flexibility: Ideal for frequent travelers, tourists, business professionals, and those visiting family or friends residing in the UAE.

2. Eligibility Requirements (Mandatory)

To be eligible to apply for this visa, you generally must meet the following criteria:

Passport Validity

Must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.

Financial Guarantee

You must provide a 6-month bank statement showing a minimum balance of $4,000 USD or its equivalent in another foreign currency, for the six months preceding the application.

Health Insurance

Mandatory valid health insurance covering your stay in the UAE.

Age

Applicants must typically be 18 years or older. (Females under 18 may be eligible if traveling with their parents).


3. Required Documents

You will need to prepare the following documents for your application:

  1. Passport Copy: Clear color copy of your valid passport (bio-page).
  2. Personal Photograph: A recent color photo (must meet UAE visa photo specifications, e.g., white background).
  3. Bank Statement: The 6-month bank statement proving the minimum required balance ($4,000 USD or equivalent).
  4. Health Insurance: Proof of a valid medical insurance policy for the UAE.
  5. Round-Trip Ticket/Onward Journey Ticket: Proof of a travel ticket to and from the UAE for your initial visit.
  6. Completed Application Form: Duly filled and signed (if applying through an agency or service center).

4. Application Process

You can apply through several official channels:

  • Online Channels:
    • The website of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) - sometimes referred to as the E-Channel portal.
    • The website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) – Dubai (if you plan to enter/exit mainly via Dubai).
    • Through the official government smart apps.
  • Service Centers: Authorized Typing Centres or Amer Service Centres in the UAE.

General Steps:

  1. Sign in to the official smart services system (ICP or GDRFA portal).
  2. Search for the service: "Issuing a multi-entry tourist visa (5 years)."
  3. Fill in the application form with your data.
  4. Upload all required supporting documents.
  5. Pay the service fees.
  6. Receive the visa via email once approved (processing time is usually a few working days, but can take longer).
